Borregaard has for many years focused on developing efficient acidifiers for terrestrial species such as pig, poultry and cattle. However, our SoftAcid product also offer benefits to aquaculture producers - and shrimp farming is
particularly interesting. A specific product has
been designed for this application: SoftAcid
Aqua Deca.

• inhibits growth and biofilm formation of vibrio, thus not allowing vibrio to colonize the digestive tracts of the shrimp

SoftAcid is a range of products consisting of organic acids and modified lignosulphonic acids. The presence of the lignosulphonic acid gives the product its name “Soft”, due to its ability to moderate the aggressive nature of
the organic acids.
